## China launches multimodal AI input method for Tibetan dialects

Tech. Qinghai Normal University's Tibetan Intelligence lab released Zhida for phones and computers, with voice input in Ü-Tsang, Amdo and Kham plus OCR and translation. Everyday typing becomes a practical channel for a low-resource language with wide dialect gaps.

## Manitoba funds ASL seats for Indigenous women and on-reserve courses

Education. Province invests $146,000 so four Indigenous women train as ASL-English interpreters at RRC Polytech, with three ASL micro-credentials delivered on reserve.

## OED September update adds Caribbean, Bermudian and Welsh English words
